Last post! Finally! It is hard to keep up every day!
This is also my last week of clinical! I can’t wait until Friday night when it is all over! I also have one more exam, one ATI test, and 1 final. I really can’t wait for some time off of school. Right when school is over I will be moving again. I really don’t like moving at all. It is a big pain. At least my parents and my great uncle will be helping me out.

I have been sick for what feels like forever now. I missed class and I have been running a fever for over 24 hours now. I just want all of this to go away.

Today I had my appointment with one of my favorite doctors, really. She always listens and it’s great to go to somebody when this disease is so hard to manage. The appointment was quick and I got everything that I needed to be changed. Hopefully when I go back in March my A1c will be better.
After my appointment I went to get blood work done for my allergist. She wanted to test different allergies and tested for Lupus. I should get the results in a few days.
After that I went to get a chest x-ray done to figure out why I have been having shortness of breath for a very long time. I would be doing nothing and I would struggle breathing. It is hard even when I talk or try to eat. Maybe this will show what the problem is and then I could start some type of treatment.
Dexcom is beeping. Going down. I have to get some juice now.

Only on Sunday’s at 7 I watch the only diabetic television show. It’s crazy how many diabetics are out there that could benefit dorm these type of shows. I wonder if they will ever make it at least an hour per week or more episodes during the week.

For dinner I am trying something new. Giving myself insulin before my meal. I have been giving it after eating since having gastritis. My absorption of food is slower so my doctor told me to take insulin after eating. It seemed to work at first but now I have been having crazy post-meal spikes. I am hoping that when I go to see her this monday that she is able to make some changes. I hate being over 400 after eating. I am also wearing my dexcom everyday and it does seem to help me a lot.

After eating a huge meal, I went low. I could not eat one more bite. Why does this happen to me?! At least the food was good.

I went to a new doctor today. My new allergist. I have so many allergies and I need more treatment since I have been getting more severe symptoms. She put me on an inhaler, nasal spray, and gave me an epipen. Before going I knew I was allergic to eggs and dairy and some season allergies as well. After the appointment I need to get blood work done on other foods and during the testing today I am allergic to many trees, weeds, bugs, molds, mites, ect. I have a whole list of things to do to make my symptoms more calm. This month just has been too much with doctors. I might as well live in one of their offices. Maybe they should just come to me…

I decided to get my prescriptions all in the mail. It said that it would be cheaper and I thought why not. It saves me endless trips to the pharmacy as well. Today I got an order in the mail. One that I didn’t even place yet. It had test strips, lancets, and pen needles. They got the test strips right. They only gave me 90 pen needles for a 90 day supply. That is 1 needle a day. I use way more then that and I stated to go into a panic. Then when I went to look at the 7 boxed of lancets that were way more then what I normally get, they were the wrong kind that I use. What was the point to have 7 boxes of lancets that I would never use. I went on the phone and they pharmacist said 90 pen needles is excessive for a diabetic. Really?! I just use one pen needle for my lantus shot in the morning but what about when I eat or when my blood sugar starts to rise. She had no clue. Because of that I am stopping all of this mail order prescriptions. It is not worth the headache.
